Arpeggios (broken chords) provide excellent means for strengthening the embouchure. But to derive benefit from practicing them, the player must play them evenly and use various forms of tonguing. For example, play this study as written (key is designated by starting note in each system). Then repeat the entire study triple tonguing followed by another repeat slurring each measure.
Do not let the register fool you. This exercise can be strenuous. Take frequent breaks and do not over-practice.
